Helping Others — International Organisations and Charities
Many people in the world live in difficult situations. They may be poor, hungry, homeless, or lack access to education or medical care. In order to support these people, there are many international organisations and charities.
One of them is SOS Children's Villages. This charity works in more than 130 countries and helps children who have lost their parents or who are at risk of losing parental care. SOS Children’s Villages builds safe homes, supports education, and helps children grow up in a loving environment. "It" also helps families in crisis so children do not end up alone.
Another example is Mary's Meals. This charity focuses on education — it provides free school meals to children in poor communities. By giving children regular meals, Mary’s Meals helps them stay healthy and go to school instead of working or staying at home because of hunger.
International charities like these often rely on donations and volunteers. People can donate money, clothes, food, or even their time. Volunteers may teach children, build houses, or deliver food. Their work helps children and families to have a better life.
Helping through charity not only "improves" living conditions, but also gives hope and opportunities. These organisations show that people from different countries can work together to make the world fairer and kinder.

Most people think that housework is boring and is the responsibility of wives and mothers only. Many parents don't ask their children to do housework so that they have more time to play or study. However, studies show doing chores is good for children. Kids who do housework develop important life skills that they will need for the rest of their lives. Doing the laundry, cleaning the house, and taking care of others are among the important skills that children will need (20) ______.
